One app at a time. Paid for, used, and then judged.

I install one app, make it my only tool for that job for at least two weeks, pay retail for whatever it asks, and then write down whether it earned the money. Most of them do not. There are no affiliate links on this site and no review copies behind any of it.

PlateLens review: the only calorie tracker I stopped arguing with

Twenty-one days as my only food log. It is the one tracker in this category whose accuracy figure somebody outside the company has checked — and then a second lab checked again. That is the whole reason I kept it, and it is a lower bar than it should be.

Fetch review: it does pay, and the maths is worse than the marketing implies

Carb Manager review: the right tool for keto, and only for keto

Adobe Scan review: an excellent free scanner that keeps pointing at a subscription

The scanning and OCR are genuinely the best free option on a phone. Almost every action you take eventually surfaces an Acrobat upsell, and the free export limits are not obvious until you hit them.
